How We Started
On April 30, 2004 Residex, LLC was formed by the owner and CEO, Christopher Donaghy and a group of industry-related investors. Residex LLC, formerly traded as Residex Corporation with corporate headquarters in Clark, NJ. Residex Corporation was founded in 1946 by J.E. Sameth, also the founder of Western Termite and Pest Control Company of Parsippany, NJ.
On March 8, 2004, Western Industries entered into an agreement of sale with the Rollins Company, owner of Orkin Pest Control Company of Atlanta, GA. With the sale of Western to Rollins came the opportunity to acquire Residex from Rollins and the Sameth Family. An acquisition team was assembled and led by Chris Donaghy, then General Manager of Residex Corporation. The acquisition team was successful in securing the Residex business from Rollins on April 30, 2004, thereby preserving Residex as a valuable distributor in the professional pest management supply chain.
How We Grew
Residex’s selling platform has always been one of excellent service in exchange for product sales. Residex was and still is the industry leader in all aspects of training including business, sales and technical programs. Our motto is Delivering Excellence Every Customer Every Time, and our employees have lived up to that motto, and our customers have been the beneficiaries. Outstanding customer service and support are the only parts of our business where we can separate ourselves from our competition. Residex employees pride themselves on the good work they do for their customers, and many of our customers have pledged their total business to us because of our employees’ dedication to them.
Our most recent growth and focus has been in the State of Florida since 2001, where we now have 4 fully operational state of the art distribution facilities.
How We Look Today
Residex, LLC now operates distribution facilities in 8 states with 17 locations. Residex, LLC is also a member and part owner of Speckoz, Inc., a cooperative of 8 leading distribution companies nationwide. Our current Speckoz partners include SMCP, Forshaw, Superior Angran, Target Specialty Products, B&G Company, Rhodes Chemical Company and Veatch Chemical.
Since the beginning of Residex’s history, Residex has always catered to the professional market versus the consumer market. Residex is a very active member of all state trade associations, and spends thousands of dollars each year in support of state association events. Residex is an active member of the National Pest Management Association, the Responsible Industry for a Safe Environment, and the United Producers, Formulators & Distributors Association.
Residex continues to place the customer at the top of our organizational chart, and our operational focus will continue to define better ways to serve their needs. Residex also places a very high value on our employees, and will continue to invest in their development to improve their professional and personal lives.
